DATE: February 17-19, 2005
LOCATION: First Baptist Church, 3115 Ocean Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78404.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Registration is limited to 30
debate teams. We should have plenty of room for the IE’s. Send completed form
and payment postmarked no later than January 22, 2005. Spaces will not be held
without payment. Send registration form and fees including requests for Circus!
tickets to Sue Butler, 6810 Lumberdale, Corpus Christi, Tx. 78413. Please make
checks payable to Sue Butler.
DRESS CODE: The spirit of the dress code is modesty and professionalism with the intent to glorify Christ. The goal is to minimize the focus on the body or outward appearance and maximize the focus on the development of ideas and communication skills. Competitors must be professional, clean and well-groomed. Gentlemen shall wear suits or sport coats and ties. Ladies shall wear either dresses, skirts, or suits. Hemlines shall fall to at least the bottom of the knee.
FOOD: The schedule did not allow a designated lunch hour. Competitors will need for their coaches or chaperones to bring lunch to them according to their specific schedule. The Meet-N-Greet Room is available for coolers and picnics. Within 10 minutes of the building, there are Subway, Whataburger, Luby’s Cafeteria, and a great Chinese restaurant all located on Alameda Street.

Circus! Circus!
The dining room becomes a Big Top and calliope music fills the air. Please change into your carnival clothes and compete in various games of amazing skill and chance. Learn to Juggle, Lick up Mosquitoes, Energy Ring Toss, Buy the Way out of jail with penny candy. Stroll to food booths for popcorn, pizza, smoked turkey legs, green salad, cotton candy, and ice cream cones. Tickets are $10.00 per person and include food and festivities.

Circus! Circus! Encore!
Can you ever have too much circus? More games with a different menu! Tonight the booths offer fried chicken legs, corn on a stick, fruit cups, and funnel cakes. Compete for the Best Clown Costume Award! Balance a vase with a rose on your nose! More Popcorn, cotton candy, and ice cream. Tickets are $10.00 per person (again!) and include all.
